“Home Away From Home”

The Jewish Congregation of Venice (JCV) is where people gather to worship, socialize, and celebrate with one another. Joining the JCV means becoming part of a diverse community of friends who have come from many areas of the United States and international locations. We are a place to share our prayers and dreams, learn, and be part of a caring congregation. We are an enthusiastic, inclusive organization with many activities throughout the year. Whether you move to Venice as your permanent home, come for the season, or are on vacation, we look forward to welcoming you. We invite you to visit, to participate and to discover the JCV community.

Caring Committee

The Caring Committee reaches out to members in moments of need and special challenges. Members of the committee extend support through calls, visits, meals, or transportation. Unique challenges, such as during hurricane season and the COVID-19 pandemic are always addressed as needed. Reaching out to others is a mitzvah and honor.

If you are interested in participating on this committee, or if you or someone you know needs help, please contact the JCV office at office@thejcv.org.

Chavurot

A Chavurah brings people together who have like interests such as their home state, love of books, learning more about their religion, going out to dinner, talking about current events, etc. The JCV has several active groups who meet on a regular basis or at intervals that they determine. Each group has a person who is the coordinator, but not the decision-maker, as that task is shared by the participants in the Chavurah. Some groups have been in existence for years, and some have just begun.

If you have an interest in meeting other members of our congregation in small groups, please email us at membership@thejcv.org

Memorial Park

A Holocaust Memorial Garden, Memorial Park, and Columbarium are found on the JCV campus.

Visit the Memorial Park page.
